Chidinma Ekile (born 2 May 1991), better known by her stage name Chidinma, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.
She rose to fame in 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame West Africa.
Following the introduction of her "Emi Baller" music video, she became the first female artist to debut at number one on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.

Chidinma Ekile was born in Ketu, Lagos State, to parents that immigrated from Imo state. She is the sixth of seven children. Chidinma grew up with a disciplinarian father and started performing at the age of six. She was a member of the choir when she was ten years old at her church. She began her acting career by appearing in Kunle Afolayan's 2017 film (The bridge movie).
Chidinma attended primary and secondary school in Ketu before relocating to Ikorodu with her family. She served as a business promoter in Lagos prior to auditioning for Project Fame West Africa's third season. Chidinma wanted to explore mass communication but ended up with a sociology degree from the University of Lagos. Chidinma refused to enroll in the University of Lagos due to her participation in Project Fame West Africa. In an interview with YNaija, she said she has always taken school seriously and that enrolling at Unilag was inevitable. She also said that music wasn't really on her radar, but that after winning the music competition, she decided to give it a try.

Music career
She dreamed of being a part of Project Fame West Africa's third edition. Chidinma left Ikorodu and headed to Ultima Studios with the help and assistance of her close knit cousin. She was one of eight thousand contestants to showcase their talents this year. Chidinma was later accepted by 17 other participants in the Fame Academy round. Chidinma and the other competitors were mentored by musical experts, inspirational speakers, and music company service providers for ten weeks. In addition, the contestants were taught choreography and several rehearsal drills. On September 26, 2010, Chidinma was announced as the competition's champion. She has received a variety of awards, including a 2.5 million Toyota RAV4 and a production contract. Chidinma signed an endorsement agreement with MTN Nigeria in May 2013.

On February 22, 2011, she released the Sound Sultan-assisted single "Jankoliko" and "Carry You Go" on her first album. Oscar Heman Ackah wrote and produced both songs. Chidinma said she was delighted with the positive reaction she received after the songs were released and that she is striving to improve her craft. The Clarence Peters-directed music video for "Jankoliko" premiered on June 4, 2011. "Kedike" became the album's third single on October 11, 2011. The song is a playback of "Heartbeat" and was created by Cobhams Asuquo. Chidinma revealed that she and her producers invented the song's name and later said it depicts passion in an interview with Entertainment Rave. "Kedike" was directed by Clarance Peters and first released on January 24, 2012. In the film, Nigerian singer Dammy Krane portrayed Chidinma's love interest. RUNDIA Mouth, the album's fourth single, was also released on October 11th.

On Vanguard's list of the Top ten songs of 2013, it reached number 7 position. On February 22, 2013, the official remix for "Emi Ni Baller" was released. Legendury Beatz also produced it, with vocals by Wizkid and was also produced by Legendury Beatz. On June 12, 2013, Capital Dreams Pictures released the music video for "Emi Ni Baller." Clarence Peters directed it in the United Kingdom and directed it.
