Billie JD Porter (born June 14, 1992) is a British journalist, model, and documentary filmmaker who worked at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School until she was 16, and went on to appear in publications such as NME, Vice, Dazed & Confused, and i-D. Uu Uu When she first appeared on the magazine's website, she became a student writer and photographer. Porter has said she was regularly plied with alcohol and opioids while at Vice, by men twice her age, and propositioned for sex. She made these remarks on Channel 4 after Vice was giving out literature at Me Too marches a few years later, as a roving reporter on Channel 4's controversial factual entertainment series Secrets of South America. * Its success resulted in the development of Secrets of China, a younger reporter for Channel 4 News, for whom she interviewed Clive James and hosted a political segment ahead of the 2015 General Election. Porter produced and executive produced Sound and Vision, a four-part documentary series for Channel 4's late night music lineup in 2017. It featured artists such as Mykki Blanco, Lady Leshurr, Hatsune Miku, and Fuse ODG. She protested Brexit and founded Use Your Voice, a movement aimed at young people's political identities, as well as leading a social media movement encouraging young people to vote in the 2017 election.
