Anthony Richard Anstead (born 28 March 1979) is an English television presenter, car builder, and painter best known for co-presenting the Channel 4 car show For the Love of Cars with Philip Glenister.
Along Mike Brewer, Anstead took over Edd China as co-host of the show Wheeler Dealers in 2017.
Early life
Anstead was born in Plymouth, Devon, England. He lived in Ely, Cambridgeshire, before he was ten years old, and then migrated with his family to Hertfordshire. He was educated at Richard Hale School in Hertford and then attended Haileybury School to complete his A-levels.
Personal life
Louise Anstead, his first wife, has a daughter and son. In 2017, they divorced.
Christina Haack, an American television actress, first met him in October 2017. They married in Newport Beach, California, on December 22, 2018. They have a son, who was born in September 2019. On September 18, 2020, the two couples announced their separation.
He began dating Renée Zellweger, an American actor, seven months after his release from Haack in April 2021.

Early career
In 1999, Anstead joined Hertfordshire Constabulary and became a Police Constable first stationed at Bishop's Stortford. He moved to Cheshunt police station and then became a member of the Tactical Firearms Team (TFU) in Welwyn Garden City. Anstead has been lauded twice for his acts of courage throughout his time as a cop.
In 2005, Anstead resigned from the Police to pursue a career as a car builder. He began designing and restoring cars for clients, as well as one-offs.
In addition, he created unique works of art and sculpture, and many of his creations are on display in museums and private collections around the world.
Anstead played semi-professional football for more than 15 years, including the switch from goalkeeper to striker, with some players notably winning Ryman league promotions in both positions.
Television career
In 2014, Anstead founded his own television production company, based on his own show The World's Most Expensive Cars.
With British actor Philip Glenister, he was invited to host a new Channel 4 car show in 2014. Since then, Anstead has hosted a number of television shows, and Anstead, alongside James May and Kate Humble, appeared on BBC Two's Live show Building Cars Live in 2015.
Anstead hosts live streams of several of UK's automobile shows as well as after dinner speaking and encouragement in schools and charities.
