William Franklin Shuster (born January 10, 1961) is an American politician and lobbyist who served as the U.S. Representative in Pennsylvania's 9th congressional district from 2001 to 2019.
He is a member of the Republican Party and the uncle of former Congressman Bud Shuster. Shuster resigned from Congress at the end of his eighth term in January 2018 and did not run for re-election in 2018.
He was elected as the Representative for PA-9 by fellow Republican Dan Meuser, but redistricting resulted in his actual district becoming the 13th, which was won by Republican John Joyce, and Peter DeFazio (a Democrat from Oregon's 4th district).

Shuster was married for more than 20 years and divorced in 2014. In 2014, he was linked to Shelley Rubino, Airlines for America's vice president of government affairs (A4A), who said he was dating her in 2015.
Early life and career
Shuster was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, as the son of H. Patricia (née Rommel) and Elmer Greinert "Bud" Shuster. His ancestry includes German and Irish peoples. He graduated from Dickinson College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History. While at Dickinson, Shuster became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He obtained a Masters of Business Administration from American University.
Shuster worked on his family farm in Bedford County, Goodyear Tire Rubber Corporation, and Bandag Incorporated before entering politics. He also owned and operated an automobile dealership in East Freedom, Pennsylvania.
