Mr Kenwright (left), a retired Coronation Street actor, died in October only months after undergoing an operation to remove a cancerous tumor from his liver. On Monday, mourners assembled at Liverpool Cathedral to commemorate Maddie's life, as well as missing Maddie's mother, Kate (right), whose family was helped by the club when Maddie vanished 16 years ago. The 55-year-old was seen arriving at the service wearing a blue Everton scarf and another in the same shade tucked underneath. The McCanns have always been supporters of The Toffees, with Maddie wearing a club shirt in one of her last known photographs (inset).

Bill Kenwright's memorial was strewright with heartfelt tributes, familiar faces, and hints of Everton over the service; it was a vibrant and effective way to honor the former Toffees chairman

STEELE STEELE AT LIVERPOOL CATHEDRAL: It was a rainy, drained afternoon at Liverpool Cathedral, but the day was brightened by the number of royal blue ties on display - and the colorful, moving lives of those who adored Bill Kenwright. There are several. Colorful and powerful is also a way to describe the man who invented the West End theatre scene, made several films, helmed Everton FC for two decades, and campaigned for revenge for Hillsborough victims. This memorial service in Manchester garnered touching tributes from family members, as well as club captain Seamus Coleman and Margaret Aspinall, the former chair of the Hillsborough Family Support Group.
