Blair St. Clair (born May 16, 1995) is an American drag queen and singer best known for competing on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Early life

St. Clair was born in Indiana on May 16, 1995. She attended Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis, where she performed in theater.

Personal life

The first part of St. Clair's drag name came from the character Blair in Gossip Girl, but her mother suggested the second part after she had passed St. Clair Street in downtown Indianapolis. St. Clair has discussed using the word Blair and feminine pronouns in her personal life.

St. Clair was assaulted at a college party, which she shared on RuPaul's Drag Race. Bianca Del Rio, the 2018 Drag Race champion, made a joking about one of her comedy sets about St. Clair's decision to bring up the rape on Drag Race after finding out she was up for elimination. Fans and fellow queens, including St. Clair herself, all condemned Del Rio. Trinity Taylor, a drag queen, welcomed Blair on her podcast in November 2019 and invited her to discuss the parody on Bianca.

Career

St. Clair first rose to fame in 2016 after winning the Miss Gay Indiana title. She was named as one of fourteen contestants on RuPaul's tenth season before being arrested for a DUI offence. She is the first contestant from Indiana to participate on the show. She was the sixth contestant to be eliminated on a lipsync to Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out" and finished ninth, losing to The Vixen and finishing ninth.

Project Runway slumnus Mondo Guerra modeled St. Clair's grand finale gown. Following the exhibition, she walked for Guerra's collection at FashioNXT in October 2018.

St. Clair's debut single, "Now or Never," was released on April 27, 2018. Jinkx Monsoon, Manila, and Max Emerson appear in the song's music video.

"Call My Life," St. Clair's sequel, was released on June 26, 2018. The same name was used on her seven-track debut album three days later. "America's Sweetheart" is Drag Race's sixth track. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Sales Chart, at number one. On August 10, 2018, the "Call My Life" single was released as a remix EP. It stars Dave Audé, Chris Cox, DrewG, Hector Fonseca, Zambianco, and Ralphi Rosario. On October 25, 2018, she debuted her third single, "Irresistible," with a music video. Blair St. Clair debuted her single "Easy Love" on July 12, 2019. On April 30, 2020, Blair's single "Empty" was released, followed by "9 Lives" and six promotional singles from her second studio album Identity, which was released on July 21, 2020.

St. Clair launched Hair by Blair in late 2019 with the intention of selling lace front and complete lace wigs on line, and shortly after returning to Indianapolis, St. Clair opened a full-service salon under the same name to welcome clients.
