Career

After graduating from university, Jones was dismissed twice for mistaking Mike Peters from The Alarm for a workman who had come to report the office alarm. At age 21, she was asked by a producer at Avanti productions to audition in front of the camera. She began presenting for BBC Choice and then joined S4C as a host on the singing program Cân i Gymru (A Song for Wales). On S4C, Jones created a speciality for Welsh-language children's programs, including Hip neu Sgip? Alongside occasional appearances on mainstream British television, such as Channel 4's RI:SE, there are RI:SE and Salon.

Jones appeared on Tocyn (Ticket) on S4C with Aled Samuel, the extreme sports show Chwa, and was part of Jonathan Davies's Welsh-language rugby team Jonathan on Jonathan Davies's 2010 Six Nations Championship. Jones appeared on Real Radio GMG in Wales as a regular co-host.

Jones was announced as the new female co-host on The One Show on July 25, 2010 on July 25, 2010, replacing Christine Bleakley. During the program's third season in February 2011, Jones replaced Claudia Winkleman as co-presenter of Let's Dance for Comic Relief. Kate Middleton's hometown was also on the BBC team for The Royal Wedding 2011 on Sunday, 2011. In the Eurovision Song Contest 2011, Jones also highlighted the United Kingdom's points.

Jones, along with Matt Baker and John Inverdale, has co-hosted The Sport Relief Games Show, which provides live coverage of the Sport Relief Games that afternoon.
