Alastair Baxter (born 21 January 1977) is an Australian retired rugby union player.
He spent his entire professional career with the Waratahs in Super Rugby.

Career
During the 2003 Bledisloe Cup, Baxter made his Wallaby debut against the All Blacks. During the 2007 Rugby World Cup, he earned his 50th test cap against Canada, scoring his one and only test attempt. He is only the second Australian prop to reach the milestone, alongside former NSW Waratahs coach Ewen McKenzie. On his 100th appearance for the NSW Waratahs, Baxter scored his first Super Rugby try. He is the third most captained Wallaby prop behind Benn Robinson and Ben Alexander. In 2011, Baxter left the game to pursue a career in architecture. He was elected vice president of NSW Rugby Union in May 2018.
