Wan Aishah binti Wan Ariffin (born 3 January 1965), also known as Aishah, is a Malaysian singer and politician.

Music career

Aishah's debut in New Zealand with her band Aishah and Sensation, has earned her name as Malaysia's first female artist to make it to the international stage, and the song "Don't Let Me Fall Alone" in 1990 earned her first international recognition, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. When she was studying in New canton in the 1980s, she joined the pop rock band. Aishah, who had left the Fan Club but was singing solo, was named as one of Malaysia'abonnements pop stars with a string of hit songs and best-selling albums. After leaving the Fan Club, Aishah released 11 solo albums.

Aishah made a comeback in 2010 with stage shows and an album. R&B's songs and style of music shifted from R&B to nasheed spiritual songs, according to her.

When she challenged and emerged champion in the reality show singing competition organized by Astro, Gegar Vainza Season 4 in 2017, she rejoined artists from the 1980s to the 2000s' time.

Political career

In 2011, she became involved in politics by joining the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) and vying for the parliamentary seat in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, which she lost to Barisan Nassar Mohd (BN) candidate with a majority of 8629 votes. Later, she joined the PAS splinter but later, became a member of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) alliance.
