Early life and education
Mann, who is an abbreviation of her married name, was born in Connecticut on March 3, 1978 in a Bengali Brahmin family, and she is the first generation Indian Indian American. Her parents are originally from Kolkata.
Mann moved with her family, her older sister Kruti, and younger brother Nishad, to several Pennsylvania cities as a child. She was born in Pittsburgh, Mt., as a child. Before settling in Fox Chapel, Lebanon and Wexford.
