Career
Grobglas appeared in 2007 in her first major role in Israel's sci-fi film Ha'Yi ("The Island"), making her famous among Israel's young audiences. Grobglas began training at the Yoram Loewenstein Performing Arts Studio for two years. She appeared in Ha'Yi's third season in 2010 and was starring a variety of major commercials throughout her career.
Grobglas gained international attention in 2010 when she appeared in the first Israeli horror film Rabies ("Kalevet"). She appeared on the main cast of the Israeli sitcom Ha-Shualim ("The Foxes"). Linda Christie appeared in a Beersheba Theater adaptation of Play It Again, Sam.
Grobglas appeared in the Israeli comedy-drama series Tanuchi ("Chill") in 2012.
Grobglas appeared in the CW's The Selection pilot as a cross between The Bachelor and The Hunger Games, but the show was not released in 2013. Olivia D'Amencourt, a recurring character in the CW's series Reign, began in the same year.
Grobglas was played Petra, one of the main characters on CW's Jane the Virgin, in 2014. "I'm usually cast for the more goofy and tomboyish characters," Grobglas said in a New York Times column, "I'm having a great time playing someone so intricate and layered and funny." "She's calculating, resourceful, and manipulative," she said. "But even if I don't agree with her picks, you still have to honor her." It's been a blast to see such a mischievous character because she's so unlike me. "Grobglas [...] has made Petra into one of television's most amusingly complex comic villains," Time magazine announced in January 2015. Fans love her, but now as Jane delves into Petra's backstory – and shows off her brighter side – they're beginning to love her." Grobglas received a special mention in March 2016 for her role in Jane the Virgin Chapter 36: "Let it to Jane the Virgin's unsung MVP, No less!" We can't wait to see what challenges (and chuckles) motherhood will bring for her character after witnessing Grobglas' superb ability to mix humor and emotion.
Grobglas appeared in JeruZalem, an English-language Israeli horror film, in 2015.
