Walter Lee Jordan (born February 19, 1956) is an American former professional basketball player.

Jordan, a 6'7" forward who hails from Perry, Alabama, and graduated from Purdue University, spent one season (1980–81) with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA.

In 30 games, he scored 68 points and grabbed 42 rebounds.

College career

Jordan, a major student at Purdue University from 1975 to 1978, was a major celebrity. He was two-time team MVP, three-time All-Big Ten, and two-time All-Big Ten champions. He was a leader for the team for three years, led the team in recovering two years, and finished with a career average of 17 points per game, ranked 6th (1,813 ppg) on Purdue's career scoring history. He is also Purdue's third all-time rebounder (882 rbs).

Larry Bird, Sidney Moncrief, Darrell Griffith, Dave Corzine, Calvin Natt, and Freeman Williams were all members of the 1977 gold medal winning World University Games team, which also included Larry Bird, Larry Bird, Sidney Moncrief, Darrell Griffith, Calvin Natt, and Freeman Williams.

Professional career

Jordan played in the Spanish League for two seasons; the CBA for four seasons; and the WBA for one season. For the 1978–79 season, he was selected 1st Team, All-WBA.
