Varun Gandhi (born 13 March 1980) is an Indian politician and a member of Parliament for Lok Sabha of the Pilibhit constituency.
He is also a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and was accepted as General Secretary in Rajnath Singh's team in March 2012.

Early life and education
Feroze Varun Gandhi was born in Delhi on March 13, 1980, to Sanjay Gandhi and Maneka Gandhi. He is the grandson of India's first Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, and the great-grandson of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Varun was born soon after Indira Gandhi returned to office in the 1980 general election. In June 1980, Sanjay Gandhi died in a plane crash when Varun was three months old. On October 31, 1984, Indira was assassinated when Varun was four years old. Varun was a student at Rishi Valley School and the British School, New Delhi, where he ran for a position on the student council. He obtained a B.Sc. (hon) from the University of London (honor).
Early political career
Varun Gandhi was first elected to the Pilibhit constituency by his mother in 1999. Maneka had been a member of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) since childhood, but she and Varun joined BJP in 2004. Varun Gandhi ran for office in the 2004 election, covering more than 40 constituencies.
Gandhi answered questions about his political affiliation and defended his father as someone who had contributed to India's revival after the first non-Congress government after Emergency, among other things.
