Tricia Nixon Cox Life

Patricia Nixon Cox (born February 21, 1946) is the elder daughter of Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon, as well as her sister Julie Nixon Eisenhower. She is the mother of Christopher Nixon Cox and is married to Edward F. Cox. Cox played a ceremonial part in her father's public career, in contrast to Julie's more political involvement.

She joined him on several campaign stops and, shortly after his inauguration, on state trips around the globe.

Early life

Cox was born in Whittier, California, on February 21, 1946, at Murphy Memorial Hospital. She grew up in Washington, D.C., attending Horace Mann Elementary and the Sidwell Friends School. She later attended the Chapin School in Manhattan.

At the prestigious International Debutante Ball at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City in 1964, she was introduced as a debutante to high society. Edward Cox, a civilian escort at the International Debutante Ball, was her.

She briefly attended Finch College, a now defunct women's college, and then Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Her father pretended as a special guest speaker at her graduation on June 14, 1968.
