Anton "Toni" Polster (born 10 March 1964) is an Austrian former professional football player and current coach.
He is Austria's all-time top goalscorer.

Club career
Polster made his professional league debut in August 1982, at 18 years old, through the Austria Wien youth system. He scored his first Bundesliga goal three weeks later and went on to win three league titles and a domestic cup before heading to Torino to play in Serie A. He spent the five years with Sevilla, Logros, and Rayo Vallecano, then ending up with these teams in mid-table, except for one year, 1989–90, in which Sevilla FC finished in sixth place and competed in the UEFA Cup the following year. In 1990, he came in second place in the Spanish goalscoring chart. He migrated to Germany to spend five years at Köln in 1993, last year, when he was relegated to mid-table for the final one. That brought him to Borussia Mönchengladbach next year, but the season was also overturned, and Polster returned to Austria to spend a final season at Salzburg.
He was known as "Toni Doppelpack" – "Toni Brace" in many matches because of his reputation for scoring two goals.
In 2001 and 1997, Polster was selected in Austria's Team of the Century and as Austrian Sportsman of the Year 1997.
International career
Polster was selected for the Austria U20's to compete in the 1983 FIFA World Youth Championship in 1983.
He made his senior debut against Turkey in November 1982, scoring his first goal, and was a participant of the 1990 World Cup and 1998 World Cup. He played in 95 caps, scoring a record 44 goals. In November 1996, he tied for his 35th goal against Latvia, beating the previous goalscoring record, set by Hans Krankl.
His last (and record-breaking 94th) international was supposed to be a 1998 FIFA World Cup match against Italy in June, but he was given a formal farewell match against Iran in September 2000, in which he was substituted in the 21st minute by Christian Mayrleb. In May 2002, Andreas Herzog's appearances record was surpassed by him.
Coaching career
Polster began teaching at UCLASK Linz in January 2010 as the reserve team coach. He took over as head coach of SC Wiener Viktoria in June 2011. Landesliga is Austrian football's fifth-tier team. The team was promoted to the fourth-tier during his first season at Wiener Viktoria, and then the Austrian Regional League was promoted to the third division a year later. On June 17, 2013, he accepted his first coaching job in the Austrian Bundesliga, taking over as the head coach of Admira Wacker Mödling's top-flight team. Polster was dismissed by Admira on September 9, 2013 after starting the season off with three straight losses, including a 7-1 loss to recently promoted Scholz Grödig. On January 13, 2014, the Polster returned to SC Wiener Viktoria.
