Watford 1-1 Southampton: Stuart Amstrong equalises in the 89th minute to send FA Cup fourth round clash to a replay at St Mary's

ISAAN KHAN AT VICARAGE ROAD: For those supporters of red and white who made the trip to Vicarage Road, their world had almost crashed. Not because Southampton was on the verge of being knocked out of the FA Cup 4th round, but not because they were on the verge of being knocked out. That may not have been ideal, but it was all about their unique, special track. The Saints tied a new 102-year record a week ago. Twenty games in a row have been unbeaten. Many of these fans will never see again in their lifetime.

Leicester 2-0 Watford: As the league-leading Foxes beat tenacious visitors to stretch their advantage at the top of the Championship table, Jamie Vardy's brace settles nerves

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 25, 2023
RYAN WALKER AT THE KING'S POWER STADIUM: Jamie Vardy came off the bench to win another game for table-topping Leicester as they defeated a tenacious Watford team at the King Power Stadium. Vardy's second-half brace makes Enzo Maresca's team three points clear at the top of the Championship table, with Ipswich not in action until tonight's tea-time match against West Brom. For the majority of the game, Watford seemed to be frustrated, with the Foxes struggling to find a way through Valerien Ismael's defense. However, Vardy was back to Leicester's rescue once more as the former England striker scored his sixth goal of the season to hold the club's position at the top of the Championship table. After being bought down by Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann, Vardy then won from the penalty spot in stoppage time. For the assault on the striker, Bachmann was given a second yellow and subsequent red.

Due to 'confusion over its resurgent importance, Watford's players will no longer take the knee before kick-off.'

A statement from the North London team explaining how the player's leadership team came to the conclusion that anti-discriminatory activities can be more effective. In a visible sign of unity, the Hornets players will now be'shoulder to shoulder,' as their new response to an opponent taking the knee. The Club Ambassador Luther Blissett (pictured) said: 'Watford FC has a long history as a team that does not tolerate discrimination, and, as a trailblazer in this respect, we felt we needed to show our love in a way that anyone in the stadium can comprehend and embrace.' Fans literally can 'stand with us' in this respect! This is a decision that the Former Players Club largely supports.'
