Timothy Michael Krul (born 3 April 1988) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for Norwich City and the Netherlands national team as a goalkeeper.
Krul has represented the Netherlands at every level since 2002. He made his full national team debut in July 2011 and was part of the 2012 FIFA World Cup team that finished third.
Personal life

Club career
Krul began his career with RAS in his hometown and later ADO Den Haag, a local Evivsie team. After struggling to commit to professional terms, he joined Newcastle United in the summer of 2005 on a three-year contract. ADO requested a fee in exchange for standing up to the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC). The DRC denied the allegations, and ADO brought the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which was dismissed by the DRC. (CAS). In February 2007, the CAS ruled in favour of ADO, causing Newcastle to pay €220,000 as compensation for the transfer.
Krul appeared on the bench as back-up to second-choice Steve Harper after an injury to Newcastle's first-choice goalkeeper Shay Given. Krul made his Newcastle debut in the UEFA Cup against Palermo on November 2nd. His debut was well-received; he displayed his shooting skills, rescue attempts from Giuseppe Bi Michele and David Di Michele, and kept the job clean.
During the warm-up game against Palermo, he was strained, and then aggravated the injury in the warm-up against Watford. As a result, he needed two cartilage surgeries, effectively ending his life for nearly six months. In April 2007, he returned to action.

Krul joined Falkirk on loan from 1 January 2008, but it was later extended to the end of the season after a string of good shows. Krul made the starting eleven for the Netherlands in a friendly against Brazil on June 4, his first cap at senior level. He proceeded to keep a clean sheet while making a string of good saves in a 0–0 draw. In a 3–4 penalty shoot-out loss against Uruguay four days later, he played his second match for the international team, the match having ended 1–1 after 90 minutes. He was called up to the Netherlands UEFA Euro 2012 squad but made no appearances.
