Tasmin Lucia-Khan Career

Media career

Khan began her career as an entertainment producer and reporter at Zee TV Network in 1999. She then hosted her own talk show presenting celebrities from music and film, sports, and politics. Bill Clinton was interviewed by Janet in 2001 a few months after he served his second term as President of the United States.

She appeared on the BBC Asian Network as a radio presenter on programmes including the Breakfast Show, Drive Time, and The Album Chart. On Boxing Day, she was on air when reports of the Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami broke.

She then worked for PTV Prime as a London reporter, where she broadcast the UK's biggest news stories to a worldwide audience, including the London bombings and the Ipswich serial murders in 2006.

She began producing and hosting her own sports show on Channel 5 for three years before landing the opportunity to appear on BBC News and BBC Three. Kevin Bakhurst, one of her mentors, was the editor of Ten O'Clock News on BBC and later became the Controller of BBC News. Bakhurst and Danny Cohen, the former BBC Three CEO, and the lead anchor of E24, were generous enough for her to be the face of the news bulletins on 60 seconds on BBC Three and be lead anchor.

She covered a number of showbiz news stories, including the deaths of Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, and Alexander McQueen during her time at the BBC, including Michael Jackson's. She covered the Paul McCartney and Heather Mills divorce as well as the Oscars ceremony three years in a row.

After being headhunted from the BBC to be the sole news anchor covering all major world news, as well as domestic, political, and economic news from the United Kingdom, she joined the ITV Breakfast programme Daybreak on September 6, 2010. She accompanied the news teams through the 2011 London Riots, Egypt, Libya, and Syria's civil wars, as well as breaking the news of Osama bin Laden's death.

After 15 years on UK television, she left ITV News and morning television in 2012 to pursue other opportunities in America. She appeared on television as NBC Extra's 'Special Correspondent,' from 2013 to 2014, covering everything from the birth of the royal babies in the United Kingdom to major film premiere coverage.

She was elected CEO of Film company WR Entertainment in January 2016, a publicly traded company that had purchased the right to all 83 books in Morgan Kane's best-selling book series, which had sold over 20 million copies worldwide. Bjrn Kjos and Arne Blystad, among Norwegian billionaires, raised $3.5 million in working capital for the film company in April 2016. In 2016, the first film from Morgan Kane's film franchise was supposed to begin filming, but no information regarding production dates has been given as of yet.
