A former Newcastle defender has been named as the manager of new UAE franchise Al Qabila FC after success in Dubai's second tier. Al Qabila have gone viral on social media after a project began to 'build a football club in 365 days' after being founded by Soheil Varahram  - who will be a player for the team - and creative director Daniyal Sheikh. The side are set to begin their first ever campaign in the UAE Pro League next season after building the club from the ground up and have been looking for a manager.

As New York chased down 183 to win by seven wickets on Sunday night, the West Indies international blasted 10 fours and 13 sixes. However, his advocate, Caroline Hunter, said that her client had 'asked not to be brought into the courthouse.' 'He's supposed to appear in court for the first time on the first court date,' Magistrate Deborah Vasta said.' The case was postponed until March 31, and Pringle was recalled in jail.

A man was charged with murder six days after a teenage woman was discovered unresponsive at a Bundamba home north of Brisbane. Following news that 19-year-old cafe worker Krystle Monks had suddenly collapsed around 9.30 p.m. on February 4, police were called to the property west of Brisbane. She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Queensland, in a critical situation where she died as a result of serious head injury the next night.
