INTERVIEW BY SIMON JONES: For Ronwen Williams, the crackle of gunfire when playing football was normal. On the way home, there was the sight of a dead body lying on the roadside. Williams is South Africa's goalkeeper and captain. He grew up in Gelvandale, Gqeberha, which was previously known as Port Elizabeth, where police have been fighting a losing battle against increasing crime figures for years.
