Early life and family
Sigman was born in Ciudad Obrogón, Mexico, to a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Through her father, she became a resident of the United States. Kenneth Ray Sigman, the baseball player, was formerly married to actress Barbara Mori.

Career
Sigman began her career on Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. Laura Guerrero played Laura Guerrero in Miss Bala, Mexico's crime drama film, in 2011.
