Early life
Corneliussen was born in Copenhagen. She studied ballet in Copenhagen at Johannesskolen in Frederiksberg. She has a degree in graphic design.
She was discovered age 13 and encouraged to compete in the Supermodel of Scandinavia contest, which was arranged by Jacqueline Friis Mikkelsen, the CEO of Unique Models, a Copenhagen-based international modeling company. She won the competition and began her international modeling career. She began training in the United Kingdom in 2007, and in 2011 she moved to Los Angeles, expanding her modeling career.

Corneliussen is bisexual. She is an animal rights lawyer and has been a vegetarian since 2013.

She has appeared on the USA Network medical drama series Royal Pains, the NBC sitcom Bad Judge, and the TV Land sitcom The Exes. Corneliussen appeared in Matchbox Twenty's official video for "She's So Mean" as the mayhem wielding girl on July 30, 2012.
Corneliussen portrayed the "White Nun" on the second season of the American anthology horror television series American Horror Story, subtitled Asylum. She appeared in the film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters in 2013 and the following year, she portrayed Tatiana in HBO's Emmy Award nominated TV film Hello Ladies.
Corneliussen appeared in a recurring role in the USA Network drama-thriller television series Mr. Connor. Joanna Wellick's robot portrays her character. On May 27, 2015, the pilot premiered.
