Stacey Orlando Augmon (born August 1, 1968) is an American basketball coach and former player who serves as an assistant coach for player growth for the Sacramento Kings.

He competed for the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Due to his athletic ability to "stretch," he received the nickname "Plastic Man."

He served as an assistant coach at his alma mater UNLV under coach Dave Rice.

He was previously the head coach of Jeonju KCC Egis of the Korean Basketball League.

NBA career

With the ninth pick of the 1991 NBA draft, the Atlanta Hawks selected Augmon. He was the first one of the top ten draft picks to enter an agreement, a 5-year deal worth between 6.5 and 7 million dollars. Augmon has competed for the Atlanta Hawks, the Detroit Pistons, the Portland Trail Blazers, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Orlando Magic. Throughout his career, he has a scoring average of 8.0 points per game.

The Magic did not re-sign Augmon for the 2006-07 NBA season, making him an unrestricted free agent. The Denver Nuggets announced the signing of the 15-year veteran on October 3, 2007, but he was later suspended on September 24th. Denver hired Augmon this month, this time as a player development coach.

Post-playing career

Augmon, a Los Angeles native, is the president of a bike club. In May 2011, he departed the Denver Nuggets to join former Rebels teammate Dave Rice as an assistant coach for UNLV. He was named as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks in September 2016.

During the 2018–19 season, Augmon was the head coach for Jeonju KCC Egis of the Korean Basketball League, leading the team to the KBL Semi-Finals and a 32–30 record.
