Mara Soledad Rodres (Spanish pronunciation: sol rooes]; born 17 April 1990), she is known as Sol Rodroes, is an Argentinian actress and model of Spanish and Italian descent. She is best known for her role as Mecha in Nickelodeon Latin America's series Grachi. Rodro has performed many songs from Grachi's soundtrack, as well as other cast members.
Biography and career
Sol Rodrez, a 1990 native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, started dancing at the age of 5. She and her family migrated to Guatemala at the age of 8, where she continued dancing and singing. She was a member of a girl group in school who participated in parent reunions and school activities, and she began doing television commercials when she was ten years old. In 2006, she and her parents moved to Miami, Florida, where she enrolled in Dade College, but then dropped to a talent agency in Miami. She did her first print work for Reebok some weeks after.
Her first appearance in Nickelodeon Latin America was with her co-starring role in Grachi, the original film. They appeared in many Latin Americas countries as the top of the rankings after three seasons due to the fans' reaction. During the second season, Grachi: El Show en Vivo, a musical tour ran to several Mexican towns, there was also a musical tour. They held ten shows in Teatro Gran Rex and traveled to Santa Fe, Argentina, where the fans showed their appreciation. Rodrgez performed a song on the second Grachi album with Isabella Castillo, M.A.P.S., and was selected for the Best Supporting Actress and Kid' Choice Awards Argentina for Newcomer.
