Simon Culhane Life

Simon Culhane (born 10 March 1968 in Invercargill, New Zealand), a rugby union footballer who earned six caps playing at fly-half for the New Zealand rugby union team (the All Blacks).

During the 1995 Rugby World Cup, he made his international test debut at the age of 27 on June 4, 1995.

The game against Japan was won 145-17, the highest winning margin for an All Blacks side.

Culhane scored a stunning 45 points on his debut, a world record for first-class test rugby that also stands today, with 20 of 21 conversion attempts and scoring a goal.

He was disqualified from the starting lineup for Andrew Mehrtens' next match.

He then went on to win just 5 more caps as a result.

In the New Zealand National Provincial Championship, he currently works for Rugby Southland.

In the Hawke Cup, he also competed for Southland.
