Thank you unitedsolo for these meaningful awards for theshottheplay ! After our run at the #unitedsolofestival a few weeks ago, this happy news came as a lovely reminder of our remarkable creative partnership led by robingerber51 whose belief and drive since the our first reading at ojaiplays, is still as indefatigable as Katharine Graham’s. Of the 4 Awards given to THE SHOT last night , (including one not pictured here for Best Lighting by production designer vickie_scott805 ) perhaps the most gratifying for me is the Audience Award because this is a tough story and it took the artistry of our director mischajoyner and the investment of our backers to deliver this message of resilience despite vulnerability, and leadership in spite of suppression. These acknowledgements are encouragement that the sentiments intended were indeed received. Thank you teriball64 for your vision and management of the pilgrimage. Special thanks to wendylanebailey omarsangare for managing the festival and hosting us graciously, demohair for wig, savymakeupart for #sfxmakeup production support from Hailey Delaney and kai_design17 Joe Trentacosta in PR and the friends who came to support us at TheaterRow in Manhattan. I wish we could have all been there celebrate this milestone together but we are forever united by the United Solo Festival’s commitment to elevating the platform for the #soloplay .🙏🏻 #theater #womenintheatre #katharinegraham
