Seyyed Shahab Hosseini (born 3 February 1974) is an Iranian actor and director.
Despite being a well-known actor in Iran, Farhar Farhadi is best known for his collaborations with Iranian writer and director Asghar Farhadi in About Elly (2008), A Separation (2011), and The Salesman (2016).

Early life
Shahab Hosseini was born in Tehran on February, 3rd, 1974. He obtained his Biology degree from the University of academies. He dropped out of the University of Tehran as a psychology student and emigrated to Canada. Later, he became a radio host in Iran and produced a youth show. He has also appeared in a few television series for a small amount of money. Amir Ghavidel directed Hosseini's debut cinematic debut in Rokhsareh (2002). His career began with his appearance in Tahmineh Milani's film The Fifth Reaction. In June 2011, he announced that he would be taking a break but that he would return to cinema in 2013. In Young Police, he attracted a lot of attention.
Personal life
In 1996, Hosseini married Parichehr Ghanbari. They have two sons, Mohammad Amin, who was born on February 3, 2004, and Amir Ali, who was born on August 11, 2011.
Career
At the 61st Berlin International Film Festival, Hosseini has received the Silver Bear for Best Actor for A Separation, as well as the Best Actor Award in the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for his role in The Salesman. In 2009, Hosseini received his first award, Crystal Simorgh for Superstar. He made his directorial debut in 2013. Hosseini co-founded Pol Media ("pol") in Persian, which means "bridge" in Persian), with director Kourosh Ahari and producer Alex Bretow, a distribution and production company aiming to "bridge the gap" between Iranian art, culture, and cinema with that of the United States. Drunk on Love, the first-ever Turkish-Iranian film, is coming out. Hande Erçel, Parsa Pirouzfar, Brahim brahim elikkol, Selma Ergeç, Bensu Soral, and Boran Kuzum will appear in the lead role alongside Hande Erçel, Parsa Pirouzfar.
