Early life
Sergey Arutyunyan was born on August 14th, 1967, in Lazarevskoye, a suburb of Sochi, southern Russia. His mother is Russian, and his father is Russian-Armenian. He later adopted his wife's surname. I served in the Soviet army from 1985 to 1987.

Career
As a second-year college undergraduate, I began working in one of Krasnodar's commercial banks in 1989. He graduated from Kuban State University's Economics faculty in 1993. He established "Transasia," a wholesale cosmetics and perfumery firm, a year later. He came out of this industry and founded "Tander," a 1995 firm that established the company "Tander." He built the first distribution center in 1998, and immediately after the 1998 Russian financial crisis, he opened the first grocery store "Magnit" in Krasnodar. He went back to retail in 2000 and established Russia's most comprehensive network by number of stores. The company underwent its initial public offering (IPO) in 2006 and was valued at $1.9 billion.
He founded FC Krasnodar in 2008, and in 2013 he funded the construction of the stadium with the same name for this club.
Galitsky sold a 29.1% stake in the Magnit retail chain to Russian bank VTB for 138 billion rubles in 2018.
Galitsky got into the wine trade in 2019. Grapes are grown near the village of Gostagaevskaya in Krasnodar Krai. Galitsky & Galitsky is a winery that is sold under the brand name Galitsky & Galitsky.
