Sebastián Driussi (Spanish pronunciation: [setjan djusi]; born 9 February 1996) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Major League Soccer club Austin FC.
Club career
Driussi made his River Plate debut as a starter in an Argentina Primera División match against Argentinos Juniors on December 2nd, winning 1–0. It was his first league goal for the club a year later when he scored in a 2–2 draw against Unión de Santa on March 8.
Driussi joined Zenit Saint Petersburg, a Russian side, on a four-year contract on July 8, 2017. The transfer fee was €15 million. In a brace against FC Rubin Kazan on July 22, he scored his first goal for Zenit. His second goal came in the same game after blocking time from a cross by teammate Domenico Criscito, who helped them win their second game of the season under Roberto Mancini. He scored a late equalizer in an away game against FC Akhmat Grozny on May 4th, winning the 2018-19 Russian Premier League championship for Zenit.
Driussi opted out the remaining year of his deal with Zenit St.Petersburg on July 2021 and left the club.
Driussi joined Austin FC, a Major League Soccer team, on July 29, 2021, as a designated player. He made his debut against FC Dallas on August 7, 2021, his 62nd minute replacement in the 2–0 loss. In a 3–1 home victory over the Portland Timbers on August 21, Driussi scored his first goal for the club. Driussi scored ten goals for the team on April 16th in a comeback road victory at Washington, D.C. United.
