Early life

Susan Hubley, the daughter of Julia Kaul (née Paine), and Grant Shelby Hubley, a writer and entrepreneur, was born in New York City. Whip Hubley, her brother, is a performer. Sara Hubley Beeken and Julie Simpson-Levy have two sisters.

Personal life

Kurt Russell, an actor from 1979 to 1983, was married to Hubley. Boston Oliver Grant Russell, the father, was born on February 16, 1980.

Hubley appeared on film and television from her debut in Bobby Jo and the Good Times Band in 1972 to her final 1999 appearance in a guest-starring role on the television series Flipper's episode "Wreck of the Zephyr."

In television, she appeared on The Partridge Family in 1972 as a princess. In 1977, she appeared as a nun whose sister was assassinated in a Kojak episode. She appeared in several episodes in 1976 and 1977 as Salina Magee, the love interest of teenage dropout Willie Lawrence, who appeared in several episodes. "Starsky & Hutch," she co-starred, "Starsky's Lady" in which she was Starsky's fiancée. Angelique Marick appeared on All My Children from 1991 to 1994. She appeared in Stepfather III and Children in the Night in 1990.

Hubley starred in a number of supporting and lead roles through the 1970s. She appeared in Lolly-Madonna XXX, also known as The Lolly Madonna War, in which the plot revolved in 1973. She appeared in the 1979 film Hardcore. She appeared in Escape from New York (1981). Her other major film role is in the 1982 cult film Vice Squad, in which she played a prostitute named Princess. In the 1979 made-for-television film Elvis, a leading role for Hubley was her lead role.
