Scott Gardenhour (born March 10, 1961) is a film director and executive producer of Emmy Award-winning commercial and film production house The Institute, a veteran film maker and producer who was involved in many large-scale commercial and music video production companies with award-winning directors before being grilled by Propaganda Films, one of the world's most established production companies that began Michael Bay, David Lynch, Spike Jonze, and Mark Romanek's career. For the original 'Got Milk' spot, Gardenhour produced the 'Aaron Burr' and 'Baby Cat' spots directed by Bay.' A campaign that went on to win numerous accolades, including a Clio and Cannes Gold Lion, was a success.

Bay was also named Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials by the DGA for their joint efforts last year. Gardenhour spent many years as a producer before moving to become Executive Producer and then Vice President of Propaganda's Commercial Division.

Propaganda Films was awarded with the Palme d'Or Award for Best Commercial Production Company at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, under his leadership.

After Propaganda, Gardenhour, started his film career on Armageddon, Coyote Ugly, Pearl Harbor, and Jumper, viewers are expecting new challenges. The Institute of Gardenhour and Bay was established in 2001.

Gardenhour has been assisting the company in its growth, including advertisements for Nike, AT&T, Victoria's Secret, and a Cannes Gold Lion winning commercial for Audi.

The Institute of Applied Reading, a research centre, received an Emmy Award in 2007. Hallmark's spec commercial 'Required Reading' was awarded an Emmy in 2007. Gardenhour, a Wharton School of Business, discussed Brand Marketing and the importance it holds to Hollywood as a way to produce, produce, and market entertainment products.
