Early life
Bill and Thelma Parish was born in Yeovil, Somerset; she has a sister, Julie, and a brother, musician John Parish. She was educated at the Preston School and Yeovil College in Preston, England. She began acting at an early age and claims she made her first stage appearance in a pantomime in Tintinhull, where she was performing the pearl in an oyster. She then attended Yeovil Youth Theatre.
Personal life
