On Hay Bluff, near the town of Hay-on-Wye, walkers found yet another mysterious shiny silver structure. It was the latest in a string of strange structures to pop up on a beach in the Isle of Wight, at the top of Glastonbury Tor, and in the middle of the Merry Maidens stone circle in Cornwall and in the fields of Dartmoor National Park. The appearances, ranging from 2020 to last weekend, have sparked a lot of rumors about who has put them there and why, with others even questioning whether or not the objects are of extraterrestrial origins. Craig Muir, a local builder, who discovered the 10ft monolith sticking out of the mud, said he mistook it for'some sort of a UFO' while out walking.

C-sections are being CANCELLED due to worst ever NHS strikes as £130,000-a-year consultants and junior doctors bring hospitals to a 'standstill' with 72-hour walk-out

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 2, 2023
Senior and junior NHS medics in England took the biggest joint strike action in NHS history today, starting with a three-day walk out as some hospitals announce that planned maternity services are being interrupted. Both groups of employees will work from 7 a.m. on Thursday, giving the same level of support from 7 a.m. to the same time on Thursday. It comes after their first historic joint industrial action in September resulted in almost 130,000 NHS inpatient and outpatient appointments being rescheduled. According to a freedom of information request, some NHS medics have been paid up to £7,900 to compensate for assaulted workers. Ministers have asked unions to put an end to the'relentless' strike, alleging that doctors have been entitled to a 'fair and fair' wage increase.

Rebecca Ferguson accuses ITV of'bullying' and "brainwashing" and "brainwashing" and "demands an investigation into the broadcaster

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 7, 2023
Rebecca Ferguson, a former X Factor actor, weep' and 'brainwashing' on ITV, broke down in tears today as she said that people on TV reality shows were victims of 'bullying' and "brainwashing." Popular reality shows take advantage of people from difficult backgrounds by'manipulating' them, according to the singer, who came second on the 2010 season of the programme. She spoke out about her own career and said she had been "pushed into my worst enemy" behind the scenes, adding she was 'pressured into contracts she didn't want to sign.' It comes after Carolyn McCall, the channel's under fire, refused to her deputy after she wrote to the channel in 2021, asking it to look into conduct and post-show aftercare for its reality shows. Dame Carolyn did not respond to her appeal, but instead she was sent a letter from ITV's chief operating officer, Sarah Clarke, saying there will not be any kind of probe and that the channel follows a duty of care charter, as well as apologizing for its actors' bad experiences.

Carolyn McCall declined to investigate, according to Rebecca Ferguson of X Factor

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 7, 2023
EXCLUSIVE: Following her refusal to look into how the channel's reality stars treat their actors after a former X Factor contestant shared horrific experiences with her, ITV's under fire chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall was questioned further. Despite three Love Island actors, including host Caroline Flack, who took their own lives, Rebecca Ferguson has revealed how Dame Carolyn refused to launch the probe and fobbed her off to her deputy. The singer's letter to the channel came after she spoke to many former stars of ITV's shows who told their own difficult times with her. Aftercare of services such as the X Factor, Britain's Got Talent, and Love Island, she wrote to Dame Carolyn on March 11, 2021, asking her to investigate the code of conduct and post show aftercare. Ferguson, 36, had also requested that Dame Carolyn look into which management companies ITV had hired the actors with. However, Dame Carolyn did not respond to the Liverpool-born singer's invitation, and instead, nearly two weeks later, the broadcaster's chief operating officer Sarah Clarke wrote to Ferguson, saying that no investigation will be launched.

LADY GLENCONNER, the late Queen's companion, compares Saturday's Coronation to Her Majesty's 1953 Coronation

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 7, 2023
LADY GLENCONNER: I was up at dawn on Saturday morning in a flurry of planning, just as I had been planning to attend her son's Coronation 70 years ago. We'd heard it'd be a long day, so I packed a carton of apple juice and a packet of fruit pastilles to keep me going. (I didn't want to risk the dreadful prospect of nearly fainting at Westminster Abbey as I had almost done before a watching world in 1953.) There had been emails instructing us on protocol and appropriate clothing this time round: day dress, no tiaras, no hats; hats optional. I love dressing up, so of course I bought a beautiful hat made by Polly, Countes of Leicester, who is married to one of my cousins and our nearest neighbor at Holkham Hall, Norfolk's childhood home.

What killed mother-of-three who was murdered by her husband 24 years ago will never be known

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 16, 2023
An inquest heard that the way a pregnant mother-of-three's husband murdered her remains remains unknown and decomposed. Debbie Griggs (left) was likely killed by her husband Andrew (both left and right) at her family's home in Deal, Kent, in 1999, before being buried 170 miles away. Her remains were discovered in St Leonard's, Dorset, not until last October. It was revealed that the exact cause of her death may never be known at a short hearing at Maidstone's County Hall in Kent. Due to decomposition, the results of a post-mortem examination ruled her death as unascertained. The couple's three sons and later Griggs' second wife (right), who were unaware that Debbie had been buried underneath the patio, were at the house.

Nurses are getting paid up to £2,500 to cover shifts at struggling NHS trusts

www.dailymail.co.uk, November 11, 2022
Some nurses are being paid up to £2,500 per shift to fill nursing staffing gaps in the NHS, as the nurses' union, which is largely responsible for the nurses' strike, begs nurses not to work additional shifts or attend picket lines. Agency employees are increasingly being recruited in to fill rotas' space needs, including NHS-salaried physicians looking for additional jobs. According to BBC reports, spending on such services in England last year hit $3 billion last year, up 20% or £600 million over the year's average. In an desperate attempt to recruit agency staff, including doctors and midwives as well as nurses, NHS bosses have been so short-staffed. According to separate Labour results, several failing NHS trusts have forked out more than £2,500 to fill nursing shifts. While some of the funds spent on agency employees will eventually go to recruiting companies, the percentage of nurses will make will depend on the company, their experience, and if they are a specialist like a mental health nurse. It means that nurses, thousands of whom are likely to walk out in the coming weeks as a result of a tragic standoff with No10 over pay, could earn more money by taking on shifts at other hospitals during the planned strike.

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 27, 2022
The £2 billion plans, which Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves revealed today in Liverpool, would bring in nearly 20,000 more doctors, nurses, and social care workers each year. Dr. Sarah Clarke (top right), president of the Royal College of Physicians, told MailOnline that Labour's plans to broaden medical placement are'strongly welcome.' However, Institute of Economic Affairs leader Matthew Lesh (right), told MailOnline that it is 'disguish' to say that the additional funds will not be used for the 'wide variety' of spending commitments.

Doctors shouldn't go on strike, according to a union boss, who claims that doctors should not go on strike

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 27, 2022
Dr Sarah Clarke, the current president of the Royal College of Physicians, said on Saturday that she did not think strike action was 'the right option' to end salary disputes because 'you're talking about patients here.' The British Medical Association's request that she apologise for 'undermining the profession's collective efforts.'

Random man from queue to write about Queen who turned out to be BLACK ROD

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 16, 2022
In the line to see the Queen's coffin, the television reporter only needed a few words from a random 'Joe Public'. So she was startled to discover that the modest man inching his way forward was really Elizabeth II's ex soldier in parliament, Black Rod, who had helped organise the very lying in state he was preparing. On the embankment across the Thames from Parliament, Australian ABC news reporter Barbara Miller yelled at a casually dressed man with grey hair.
