Rukku Nahar (born 28 February 1996) is an English actress best known for her appearances as Selina Khan on the CBBC's Wolfblood and Habiba Ahmed on BBC soap opera EastEnders.

Early life

Nahar was born in Bedford, England, on February 28, 1996. Nahar is a British of Indian-Punjabi descent. Nahar attended Hastingsbury Upper School and later trained at the Identity School of Acting, while growing up.

Career

As Meena, Nahar made her professional debut in a YouTube comedy series Corner Shop Show in 2014. She began playing Selina Khan in the CBBC drama series Wolfblood in 2016, a role she played in two series. She appeared in an episode of the BBC medical drama Casualty later this year. Zara Muhammed made her film debut in the adventure film We Can Be Heroes in 2017. Rana Khan appeared in an episode of the BBC soap opera Doctors in 2018. Asha Kaur appeared in nine episodes of Channel 4's soap opera Hollyoaks later this year. In February 2019, Nahar began to appear in BBC soap opera EastEnders as series regular Habiba Ahmed. Nahar made her last appearance in previously unannounced scenes on October 22, 2020. Nahar expressed her regret on Instagram, where she thanked EastEnders for "too much" during her tenure and expressed admiration for her program's closeness, as well as saying she was "grateful" for the friendships she maintained on the program.
