Ruco Chan Life

Ruco Chan Chin-pang (born 14 January 1977) is a Hong Kong actor and singer.

He made his acting debut when he was seventeen years old, appearing in an episode of the TVB's drama Instinct (1994).

Chan's first big role in the ATV television drama Love In A Miracle (2003) was after years of playing background and minor supporting characters.

Despite being involved in ATV television dramas for the next three years, his drama series were not very popular. Chan returned to television in 2008 and rose to fame as the young barrister Keith Lau in the TVB's The Other Truth (2011), a role that also established him as a leading television actor.

Chan's following appearances, most notable in Brother's Keeper (2013), Ruse of Engagement (2014), and Captain of Destiny (2015), the latter winning the TVB Anniversary Award for Most Popular Male Character.

He is the first actor to win My Favorite TVB Actor at three separate years (2014, 2015, 2016), and he is also the first actor to win My Favourite TVB Actor at the TVB Star Awards Malaysia (2015, 2016).

Chan received the TelevisionB Anniversary Award for Best Actor for A Fist Within Four Walls in 2016.

Early life

Chan was born in Hong Kong and has ancestry from Xiamen, Fujian. His father was a firefighter and his mother was a tailor. After receiving intense training at the Jubilee Sports Academy while his father was young, Chan discovered a passion for table tennis and joined the Hong Kong Table Tennis team. He was the youngest player to represent Hong Kong in international competitions at the time. Chan left the team after five years of commitment to the sport after finishing his high school education exams. Chan was accepted into a technical college after graduating and was also interested in the 3,000 HKD monthly income, which attracted the Artiste Training Class of the Television Company. Chan was only seventeen at the time, and he was still needed to have his parents' permission before signing a TVB management deal. His father initially refused but later gave in when TVB offered an automatic termination termination if Chan didn't do well in his classes. Chan earned his diploma from the Television Academy's Seventh Artiste Training Class of 1994.

Personal life

In 2008, Chan began a love affair with Miss Asia champion Eunis Yiu. In 2010, they broke up.

While there were rumors of Chan dating actresses in the next few years, none of them have sparked as much media buzz as his Brother's Keeper and All That Is Bitter, Linda Chung, and Unholy Alliance partner Nancy Wu.

In 2016, when he was a guest judge for Miss Hong Kong, he met contestant Phoebe Sin and then in March 2017, who was photographed on The Peak. The media highlighted this link, with the overwhelming majority of public opinion condemning Phoebe's treatment of the matter. Chan revealed his affiliation with Phoebe on September 10, 2018. They were married on October 13th, the same year. The couple revealed on Instagram on October tenth of September that they were expecting their first child. Quinta Chan's daughter was born on April 14, 2019.
