Rosanne Sorrentino Life

Rosanne Sorrentino is a former child actor best known for playing the bossy orphan Pepper in the 1982 film Annie.

Early life

Rosanne Sorrentino was born in Long Island, New York, on January 15, 1968. She made her professional stage debut at age 12 in Annie's third national tour of the 1980s, portraying Annie in the title role.

Sorrentino was "bitten by the acting bug" in 1976, when she appeared in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie's summer workshop production. She was also a member of her school chorus at Lindenhurst Senior High School, and it was under her tutee, Liz Costa, that she discovered her love for singing. She has also been a member of the Charles Street Players in Lindenhurst High School.

Although Sorrentino received rave reviews for her stage portrayal of Annie, she was considered too young, aged 13 years old, to be cast as Annie in the film version. Rather, she was offered, and accepted, the role of Pepper, the oldest and most orphanage.

Personal life

Bridget and Sarah Kavanagh, Sorrentino's two children, have been together for two years. She works as an assistant principal at Brentwood North Middle School on Long Island, but she is also an actress and singer. She is also a member of DCRP, a local club that is devoted to running and other pursuits.
