POLL: What's the ultimate Christmas sitcom moment of all time? Vote for your favourite and see the results revealed in new festive telly doc

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 17, 2024
Over the last 50 years there have been many stand-out moments in the Christmas television sitcom schedule. From Del Boy and Rodney Trotter finally becoming millionaires in Only Fools and Horses, to Geraldine Granger forcing down four festive dinners in The Vicar of Dibley. These unmissable, laugh-out-load moments, as well as the odd tearjerker, courtesy of The Royle Family when Denise went into labour on Christmas day, are set to be celebrated in a special two hour festive television show on Channel 5 this Christmas.

Only Fools and Horses icon David Jason calls out big Hollywood stars who are 'extremely difficult and a pain' as he reveals touching gesture from the 'nicest guy' in showbusiness

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 16, 2024
David Jason has called out Hollywood stars that are 'extremely difficult' to work with, as he revealed the touching gift he had been given from his late friend Ronnie Barker. The Only Fools and Horses star, 84, formed a strong bond with comedy legend Ronnie, who passed away in 2005 at the age of 76. The pair first worked together in 1969, going on to both star in The Odd Job before their roles opposite each other in Porridge, Seven of One and most famously, Open All Hours.

QUENTIN LETTS: There's one phrase every minister spouts... if Labour's first 100 days had a cliche, it's 'working at pace'

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 10, 2024
With tomorrow being Labour 's 100th day in office, the guild of sketch-writers is planning a celebratory wassail. We will shoot the apple tree, have a Morris dance and sing hey-nonny-no to the fertile gods of farce. Much of the country may be fed up, but from our viewpoint things are going deliciously. Yesterday brought further succulents. Louise Haigh was taking departmental questions, her dyed hair a blinding pink, her face vaguely tanned and her dress bright green. Ms Haigh, Secretary of State for Transport, had come as a traffic light. In manner, however, she was all go-go-go, with indubitable swagger and a magnificently-curled lip. She sounded so furious, it was as if she was trying to match her Cabinet colleague Bridget Phillipson for sulphurous loathing of the Tories.
