Rod Parsley Life

Rodney Lee Parsley (born January 13, 1957) is a well-known American Christian minister, author, television host, and evangelist.

He is senior pastor of World Harvest Church in Canal Winchester, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, that has a sister campus in Elkhart, Indiana. Parsley is the founder and chancellor of Valor Christian College.

He is the founder and president of The Center for Moral Clarity, a Christian grassroots advocacy group, as well as the founder and president of Breakthrough (a media group), the World Harvest Ministerial Alliance, The Women's Clinic of Columbus, and RODPARSLEY.TV, a 24/7 online streaming channel.

On the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and The Word Network, Rod Parsley's television show Breakthrough with Rod Parsley airs every day.

Early life and education

Parsley was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised mainly in the Columbus area. When Parsley was a boy, his parents lived in eastern Kentucky, and his family used to go to visit relatives often. He hasn't lost his Kentucky accent.

He was born as a Free Will Baptist and had a "born-again" experience at Christian Center Church in Gahanna, Ohio, in the 1970s.

He worked in real estate and a pet-food factory after graduating from high school. He enrolled at Circleville Bible College (now Ohio Christian University), but he was forced to leave after two years.

Parsley, an Indiana-based evangelist, missionary, and broadcaster, was greatly influenced as a young pastor by Lester Sumrall. Sumrall became Parsley's mentor, and the two traveled together often.

Joni Parsley is his husband. They have a son, Austin, and a daughter, Ashton, who has since been born. They live in Pickerington, a suburb of Columbus.
