Robin Michelle Meade (born April 21, 1969) is an American journalist and television news anchor.

She is the lead news anchor for HLN's morning show Morning Express with Robin Meade.

Meade started her radio broadcasting career with local television stations in Ohio.

She first joined HLN in 2001.

She has received a regional Emmy Award.

In 2011 and 2013, Meade released country music collections.

Early life

Meade grew up in New London, Ohio, and graduated from New London High School. She studied at Malone University and Ashland University, where she concentrated on radio/television design, programming, and performance, as well as a minor in political science. She graduated in 1991.

Meade married Tim Yeager on November 6, 1993.

Career

Meade became Miss Ohio in 1992 and was a semi-finalist in the 1993 Miss America pageant.

Meade began her radio career as a reporter for WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. She then spent time as an anchor and reporter at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WJW-TV in Cleveland. Later, she worked in Miami, Florida, as the morning news anchor of WSVN-TV's Today in Florida, as well as the station's noon anchor and health reporter.

She joined NBC Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV where she began anchoring the morning newscasts and later co-anchored the weekend newscasts and also served as a general assignment reporter for the station. She covered the 1996 Olympics, which included special reporting on the Centennial Olympic Park bombings during her time with the NBC affiliate.

She then joined HLN, then known as CNN Headline News. In the spring of 2003, Meade anchoring the network's coverage of Operation Enduring Freedom as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and CNN's world headquarters. On-air at HLN, September 11, 2001, the first day on air. On weekday mornings, Meade, David Smith, Jennifer Westhoven, Melissa Knowles, and Mike Galanos co-star Robin Meade of Morning Express.

Morning Sunshine, She wrote a book titled Morning Sunshine. How to Radiate Confidence and Feel It Too. It was announced on September 10, 2009. She has referred to it as a "non-fiction, encouragement / educational / how-to / autobiographical book." It debuted at No. 1 in the United Kingdom. The New York Times Best Seller list on page 12 features advice, How-To, and Miscellaneous.

Brand New Day, Meade's country music collection, was released on June 21, 2011. To country radio, a single, "Dirty Laundry," was introduced. On Memorial Day Weekend, Meade performed the "Star Spangled Banner" as part of the 2010 Toyota/Save Mart 350, the 2012 Coke Zero 400, and the 2013 Coca-Cola 600.
