Joanna Simpson, the former BA pilot, is serving 26 years as the manslaughter of his estranged wife Joanna Simpson. Since serving half of his term, he was supposed for automatic release last year. However, Justice Secretary Alex Chalk stepped in, utilizing new powers to get the matter reviewed by the Parole Board, which will determine whether it is safe to release him. 'It's vital that Brown's hearing be made public,' said Joanna Parkes. I'm hoping that the Parole Board makes sense and acknowledges that my daughter's murder is a threat to not only my family and Jo's acquaintances, but also the public and prevents him from being released.' Brown, now 60, and Joanna, 46, were going to end their separation when he bludgeoned her to death with a claw hammer at their former marital home, near Windsor in 2010.
