Early life and career
Rino Nakasone was born in Naha, the capital of Okinawa Prefecture, on June 11, 1979. Since watching Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson's music videos and imitating their moves, she became interested in dance. She went to Los Angeles to study dance at the age of nineteen. She began working as a back-up dancer for Janet Jackson shortly after her visa expired.
Britney Spears selected her as a back dancer for Spears' Onyx Hotel Tour in 2004. After touring with Spears, she toured with Gwen Stefani as "Music," one of the Harajuku Girls, receiving praise for her dance performance.
