Ridley Pearson (born March 13, 1953 in Glen Cove, New York) is an American author of suspense and thriller books for adults and children.

Personal life
Pearson and his two siblings were raised in Riverside, Connecticut, respectively. He was educated at the University of Kansas and Brown University. He lived in Shanghai, China, from summer 2008 to summer 2009. He and his wife and two children currently reside in St. Louis, Missouri. Pearson often includes his daughters as protagonists in his children's books.
He has performed bass guitar and sung for the Rock Bottom Remainders, a group of published authors whose 20-year tenure ended in June 2012.
Literary career
Pearson was the first American to be granted the Raymond Chandler-Fulbright Fellowship at Oxford University in 1991. He was given the Quill Award from the Missouri Writers Hall of Fame, the highest award. This award serves as a reminder of the value of writing and encourages young people to discover their own passion for writing.

Peter and the Starcatcher, written by Rick Elice, premiered on Broadway in early 2012 and received the most Tony nominations of any play in history— nine. At the premiere on June 10, 2012, the play received five Tony awards. In 2013-14, the performance was on tour around the country.
