Carl Hiaasen, Jimmy Buffett's longtime companion, says the singer was 'larger than life' and 'invincible' - three days after he died of cancer at 76

During his cancer battle, which eventually resulted in his death at 76, Jimmy Buffett's longtime pal Carl Hiasen said the late singer was 'larger than life' and 'invincible.' After the Margaritaville singer died from Merkel cell skin cancer four years after being diagnosed, the journalist, 70, discussed Buffett's fame and how doctors did not discourage him from enjoying his life. In a recent interview, the novelist told People, 'I was with Jimmy in the Bahamas in October 2022.' He was supposed to take it easy, but he wasn't sure what it meant.'
