Richard Corrigan (born 10 February 1964) is an Irish chef.

He is the chef/patron of Corrigan's Mayfair, Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill, Bentley's Sea Grill in Harrods, and Virginia Park Lodge in County Cavan.

Richard Corrigan was born and raised in Ballivor, County Meath. He studied at the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Career

He was then the head chef of Mulligan's in Mayfair, London, after spending many years in the Netherlands. When he was head chef of Stephen Bull in Fulham in 1994, he was also in London, he was given his first Michelin star.

In 1997, he opened Lindsay House in Soho, London, and became a Michelin celebrity there. He bought and rebuilt Bentley's in 2005 and opened Corrigan's Mayfair in 2008. Since the Evening Standard named it London Restaurant of the Year in 2008, the restaurant has received three AA Rosettes. In 2009, it was also named 'AA London Restaurant of the Year,' and received one of the highest new entries in the National Restaurant Awards at number five.

Three times he was named the Great British Menu champion. Richard was also a winner of the Great British Waste Menu special in 2010, which culminated in a dinner at the House of Lords and a TV show.
