Reginald Shon Jackson (born April 16, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
He spent three seasons with the Boston College Eagles' men's basketball team before deciding on the 2011 NBA draft, where he was drafted 24th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Early life
Jackson was born in Pordenone, northeast Italy, to African-American parents. At Aviano Air Base, Jackson's father served. The Jacksons then migrated to England before heading to the United States when Jackson was five years old. The family lived in North Dakota for a year before settling in Colorado Springs, Colorado, when Jackson was in sixth grade. He graduated from General William J. Palmer High School in Colorado Springs in 2008 and was named Outstanding Basketball Player of the Year in 2007-08. Jackson officially declared himself an American citizen and reaffirmed his Italian citizenship in April 2008.

College career
Jackson arrived in Boston College and joined a team that was already armed with celebrities like Tyrese Rice and Rakim Sanders. With Jackson's being used as an explosive weapon off the bench, the Eagles made the NCAA Tournament in Jackson's freshman season. Following Rice's departure, Jackson stepped into a starting role in his second season, but the Eagles were unable to make it back to the NCAA Tournament. He led the Eagles in scoring with 18.2 points per game as a junior in 2010-2011 and helped them win the National Invitation Tournament. Professional career
Jackson saw little action in his first season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, averaging 11.1 minutes per 45 games behind Russell Westbrook and Eric Maynor. He averaged over three points per game but shot just 32% from the field, and his percentage decreased to 21% when Jackson went beyond the arc. In the NBA Finals, he did not participate in any of the Thunder's 20 playoff games in 2012.

Jackson received platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections on October 10, 2016, treating left knee tendonsitis and an ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) sprain of his right thumb. He was then sentenced to six to eight weeks in prison. He made his season debut for the Pistons on December 4, scoring 18 points in 23 minutes against the Orlando Magic after missing the first 21 games of the 2016-17 season.
