A number of contracts of top stars in the company have run down in recent times, including the likes of Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre. Some have since re-signed. But one star, who is a veteran of the company, could be set to leave once again as his deal comes to an end, and reports surfacing in recent times that he won't be kept on. The deal deal is set to expire in a matter of days, with his future unclear and WWE chief Triple H speaking exclusively to Mail Sport about his situation.

Becky Lynch has hinted that she will retire from wrestling following her recent departure from WWE.  The 37-year-old became a 'free agent' on June 1st following the expiry of her contract after over a decade with the promotion.  Lynch had been with WWE since 2013, starting off in development and NXT before moving to the main roster and becoming one of the biggest stars in the company.

Out of the fabled Four Horsewomen, Bayley was not only the last to make it to the main roster, but she has often been viewed as the least celebrated, too. That has nothing to do with her abilities. Bayley has a CV that precious few men or women will be lucky enough to attain; four-time world champion, the first ever women's triple crown champion and first-ever women's grand slam champion, Royal Rumble winner, one-half of the inaugural women's tag team champions and a Money in the Bank winner. That's not even all the accolades! But with Sasha Banks departing WWE and spreading her stardom to AEW, Becky Lynch letting her contract expire enjoy free agency in addition to Charlotte Flair recovering from a serious knee injury, Bayley has finally been spotlighted the way many have yearned for. Overlooked for big spots at WrestleMania on a couple of occasions that still hurt, Bayley is now sitting atop the women's division and set to defend her title against Piper Niven in what would normally be enemy territory of Scotland, Niven's homeland. Except, Bayley is totally beloved in the UK. One might think Niven would be upset with a 50/50 crowd split for a proverbial home game, but she told Mail Sport earlier this week that Bayley is the women's version of Shawn Michaels, a man revered by many as the greatest in-ring worker ever.
