Lince Dorado Career

Professional wrestling career

Dorado began his training in Mexico under El Pantera until he returned to the United States in early 2007. Dorado, Pantera, and Sicodelico, Jr. made their Chikara debuts on February 17, as a participant in Chikara's first-ever King of Trios tournament. The team made an impressive run to the semi-finals before losing to Mike Quackenbush and ShaneSaw's team (Shane Storm and Jigsaw). In addition to numerous promotions in the area, he came to the United States and started living in New Jersey shortly after the tournament to compete for Chikara. Dorado soon gained adoration due to his high-flying wrestling style, and he was soon accepted into the first-ever Rey de Voladores tournament, which brought together some of the finest high flying wrestlers on the international circuit. Despite progressing to the finals, including an unexpected victory over veteran Chikara wrestler Jigsaw, Dorado lost the tournament to Chuck Taylor. Dorado began his first clash in Chikara against Rend "Marvelous" Mitch Ryder, who grew out of Ryder's "patriotic" aversion of "illegal immigrant Mexicans, which he claimed to be a part of Dorado. Dorado won a major upset over Chris Hero during the feud thanks to his submission of the Chikara Special. The feud came to an end in November when Dorado defeated Ryder in a hair vs. mask match. However, their match earned some notoriety after Dorado suffered a seizure and severe concussion after he over-rotated a shooting star senton in the match's end, resulting in his head striking the mat. Dorado suffered a seizure and was attended by Chikanee's founder Mike Quackenbush and Daizee Haze before he was unveiled (though a towel was placed over the top half of his face in order to conceal his identity) and was then removed from the arena in an ambulance. Dorado was released from the hospital and back to Chikara in December, where he distracted Ryder during his match against Tim Donst, allowing Donst to win by a surprising margin.

Dorado will return to the ring in January, working with Claudio Castagnoli and Ophidian to beat Mike Quackenbush, Tim Donst, and Amasis in a Trios Incident match Trios Incobres. Dorado, rather than his normal high flying style, had a more grounded style of wrestling during the game. Dorado entered the King of Trios tournament, where he rejoined El Pantera and joined the Los Luchadores de Mexico to form Los Luchadores de Mexico. After Dorado made Kingston submit with the Chikara Special, the team will continue to win the tournament, lastly defeating The BLKOUT (Eddie Kingston, Ruckus, and Joker). Kingston was not seen for a few months after the tournament. Kingston immediately attacked Dorado and stunned him several times, but was repeatedly unsuccessful in keeping him down, bringing Kingston Kingston to a point of complete insanity. Besides his rivalry with Kingston, Dorado recruited former rival Jimmy Olsen (who, at the time, competed as both himself and as the second Equinox) and Helios to form The Future is Now in order to clash with The Unstable (Vin Gerard (the first Equinox), STIGMA, and Colin Delaney). Olsen (as Equinox) and Dorado won the first-ever La Loter'a Letal in late 2008 and were therefore granted the three points required to compete for the Campeonatos de Parejas. In a two out of three falls match, Olsen (as Equinox) and Dorado challenged the champions The Osirian Portal at Chikara's "Armdrags to Riches" event on November 16, 2008. Despite Dorado's initial pinfall, the Portal regained the honor after pinning Dorado and then Equinox. Player Dos debuted on the ring steps for the Young Lions Cup on November 22, 2009, but was disqualified after Dos German suplexed him on the ring steps. In a scene reminiscent of the events of two years ago, Dorado was brought backstage by Equinox and Helios.

Dorado and Equinox, two of Mike Quackenbush's crew, was supposed to face the Bruderschaft des Kreuzes on January 31, 2010. However, Dorado pinned Dorado's replacement in Quackenbush's team, Eddie Kingston, during the eight man tag team match. Afterwards, Dorado spoke about his appearance by claiming that the Chikara audience never accepted him despite his superior athleticism and two serious injuries inside the Chikara ring. In a singles match on March 20, Verve and a Bit o' Nerve, Dorado, dorado, now sporting a new white and BDK-themed outfit, defeated his former tag team partner Equinox. Dorado first defeated Gregory Iron in a singles match on August 28, 2010, followed by Adam Cole, Cameron Skyy, Keita Yano, Obariyon, and Ophidian in a six-way elimination match that saw the eighth annual Young Lions Cup tournament finals. Following Day, Dorado was disqualified in the finals by Frightmare. Dorado was on his first tour of Japan with Osaka Pro Wrestling in October 2010. Dorado had been supposed to participate in Chikara's shows on March 12 and 13, 2011, but decided against attending the performances. Dorado's profile was discreetly deleted from Chikara's website over the weekend, confirming his departure from the service.

During his Chikara days, Dorado competed for several different positions sporadically. Dorado defeated Josh Abercrombie in a two-out of three finals in May 2008. Dorado made his Dragon Gate USA debut at Open the Heroic Gate in a dark match in which he defeated seven other wrestlers. Dorado won the Sweet Sixteen Tournament at F1RST Wrestling on October 9, 2009, defeating three other guys in the final. He competed in the Open the Freedom Gate Championship tournament a month later, losing to Gran Akuma in the first round. Dorado started off the 2010 season by losing to Rich Swann in a match for the vacant Real Championship Wrestling Cruiserweight Championships. Dorado took the Garden State Pro Wrestling Championship on March 26, winning a tournament for the vacant title. In the first round of the Super Indy IX for International Wrestling Cartel, Dorado lost to Shiima Xion in May. He'll be out of Xion again two months later, but this time it was for the IWC Super Indy Championships. Dorado won the F1 Heritage Championship after winning a war games match and then vacating it after an 84-day reign. Dorado made his Full Impact Pro debut in December, losing to Craig Classic in the first round of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup.

Dorado will most likely fight for Vintage Wrestling, I Believe in Wrestling, Florida Underground Wrestling, IGNITE Wrestling, and to a lesser degree Dragon Gate USA and its affiliates after leaving Chikara. Lince Dorado joined Dreamwave Wrestling in 2013. Dorado defeated Gran Akuma at Full Impact Pro's Everything Burns on March 14, 2014, winning the FIP Florida Heritage Championship.

Dorado fought in a tryout dark match against Kazarian on October 4, 2012. Dorado appeared in the taping of X-Travaganza (aired on April 5, 2013), a seven-man Xscape match that was dominated by Christian York on January 12, 2013.

Dorado was announced as a participant in WWE's Cruiserweight Classic tournament on April 3, 2016. In his first round match, Dorado defeated Mustafa Ali. In his second round match, Dorado was disqualified from the tournament by Rich Swann on July 14, who was disqualified from the tournament for the second time. Dorado had signed a WWE deal on July 22, according to the newspaper.

Dorado was announced on September 16 as part of Raw's cruiserweight division. Dorado made his debut on the September 21 episode of Main Event, losing to Rich Swann. Dorado made his Raw debut on September 26th, teaming with Drew Gulak in a losing effort to Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann. Dorado defeated Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak, and Tony Nese on October 30, at the Hell in a Cell. Dorado's debut on December 13, his 205 Live debut, submitting Mustafa Ali to a double countout. Dorado unsuccessfully defeated Cruiserweight Champion Neville on June 26, 2017, a new Raw episode. Following week, Dorado lost to Neville once more on 205 Live's July 4 episode.

Cordero suggested Lucha House Party, a group of Mexican luchadores, in early 2018, so WWE decided to band together Dorado, Kalisto, and Gran Metalik. The luchadors began carrying vividly colored noise makers and vuvuzela horns with them as part of their gimmick, and they were used to celebrate after a victory. They also carried a brightly colored Piata donkey with them to the ring, which they described as "Penelope." On January 23, 2018, they defeated Ariya Daivari, TJP, and Tony Nese in their first match as a full trio. Lucha House Party defeated TJP, Drew Gulak, and Gentleman Jack Gallagher at the Royal Rumble. Following week, WWE held a tournament for the unemployed WWE Cruiserweight Championship, where Dorado was eliminated in the first round by his stable partner, Kalisto.

For the first time since WWE brought them together, Lucha House Party defeated a number of non-Cruiserweight squads (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel), Heath Slater and Rhyno, The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), and The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson), on the November 12 episode of Raw, Lucha House Party (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson). Lucha House Party was a member of Team Raw in a five-on-five elimination match that was won by Team SmackDown during the Survivor Series. Lucha House Party was part of The Revival's storyline, in which the latter argued to be "tag team purists" and as such opposed Lucha House Party to compete as a tag team when there were three of them. In the ensuing weeks, Lucha House Party defeated The Revival in a series of three-on-two or three-on-one matches branded as "Lucha House Rules" matches as part of the storyline. The Revival finally defeated Lucha House Party on February 4, 2019 in a thrilling four-way match, advancing to a match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship at a later date. Lucha House Party started a feud with Lars Sullivan in June, with the trio losing to Sullivan by disqualification in a three-on-one handicap match at Super ShowDown. Sullivan beat Raw, Lucha House Party again the next night, this time in a three-on-one handicap elimination match. As part of the 2019 WWE Draft, Lucha House Party was drafted to the SmackDown brand on October 11, 2019.

Both Dorado and Metalik were drafted to the Raw brand in October as part of the 2020 Draft, splitting them from Kalisto, who remained on the SmackDown brand. Dorado and Metalik were in the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on NXT in 2021. They beat Imperium in the first round, but Legado del Fantasma eliminated them in the second round. Dorado, as well as Metalik, were both suspended from WWE contracts on November 4th.
