Career

RBX began attending Death Row Records in 1992 with his cousins Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger. Collins, a former college student and retail manager, refused to sign blank contracts like his Death Row comrades. His time on the label would be short but memorable. RBX left the brand in 1994 and signed with the less well known Premeditated Records, having made commanding cameos on The Chronic in 1992 and Doggystyle in 1993. In 1995, he released The RBX Files, his first solo album produced by former Chronic Production team member Greg "Gregski" Royal.

The album dropped the popular West coast G-Funk style in favour of a "gritty, dungeon-like" sound more akin to New York. The single "A.W.O.L." Suge Knight, Dre, and others were among the ostensible business practices in Death Row, which were traced back to Ruthless Records, Jerry Heller, and Eazy-E. In a YouTube interview with VladTV, he discussed an altercation over food between him and Suge Knight, in which Knight pulled out a pistol.

RBX paid a visit to Dr. Dre in 1996, apologizing for his scathing words on record and in magazines and reverting to Dr. Dre's new Aftermath brand. Dr. Dre Presents a Dr. Dre Presents, a 1996 compilation. The Aftermath was released by Dre on solo album "Blunt Time" and the group song "East Coast/West Coast Killaz" with KRS-One, B-Real, Scarface, and Nas, with both songs produced by Dre. RBX went solo and released his sequel, No Mercy, No Remorse, on a national label in 1999, after being buried in Aftermath's infamous reshuffling. Aftermath to comeo on Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP in 2000, he reappeared with Aftermath.

RBX's 2022 debut on his comeback album "Sccit & Siavash The Grouch Present... X-Hibernator" begins in Los Angeles.
