Career

Graff was born in Brooklyn, New York City, and is a Wagner College graduate. She is the cousin of actress Todd Graff and Ilene Graff.

Graff has appeared in films ranging from Keys to Tulsa and Rent, as well as being in television shows such as NBC's Law & Order a number of times. Graff has appeared in several Broadway shows in addition to film and television.

When the musical Les Misérables premiered on Broadway in 1987, she played Fantine, which also appeared on the soundtrack, which was released in 1990.

Graff said she was the first person to perform "I Dreamed a Dream" in the United States of America. She has appeared in Broadway revivals of musicals Damn Yankees and Fiddler on the Roof.

Graff teaches at the Manhattan School of Music.
