Putri Ayu Silaen (born 24 May 1997), also known as Putri Ayu, is an Indonesian soprano who dabbled in pop culture. She began her singing career at a young age by competing in numerous singing competitions in North Sumatra.
She began to sing classical music when she took part in Pesparawi's classical singing competition in which she received a gold medal.
She became more interested in classical music and joined Indonesia Mencari Bakat, an Indonesian television talent show competition, where she finished as the runner-up.
Putri Ayu was selected one of the winners of the Born to Sing Asia – David Foster contest at the age of 14. She has performed in the Netherlands, Singapore, China, Australia, and Timor Leste.
She has also appeared at international festivals, including SEA Games, Bali Democracy Forum VI, and The 12th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention in Chengdu, China.
